The bg is overbrushed... try working with shapes and stocks to add depth and details to the bg. I rarely brush, and when I do, I never rely on it. Also play with graidents and lighting effects to put more focus on the pic. Right now the eye kinda wanders around when instead it should be drawn to the player. The font isn't doing it for me either. Change that up to a more simple font.

Like SPC said, you can use stocks. C4Ds work too. I'm learning to rarely brush myself, but I'm not too good with blending stocks, shapes, patterns, and C4Ds yet.
Stocks are just images, any picture. C4Ds, cinema 4Ds, specially made images using a program, but I don't remember what its called. An example of a C4D (big):
Stocks are basically just photos of anything. Check out http://www.imageafter.com (the site I mainly use for stocks... plus they have a lot of nice textures).
And C4D's are just renders made in the program Cinema 4D. You can find some on deviantart or just google.
