-never missed a game in his 5 year career
-when brees sucked his production in receiving yards and rushing was best
-he has a passing threat


While LJ has yet to prove a full season and has lost all-pro Tackle Roaf, OC al saunders, HC vermeil and his FB from last year..

i see LJ as more of a Risk this year than Alexander even.

I guess its a big risk big reward type thing.

It's not that Lt hasn't proven himself consistent, it's the risk/reward type thing. From what we've seen of LT, he can consistently put up great numbers. From what we've seen of LJ, he could rush for a kajillion yards and 40 TDs. There is a lot more risk, but LJ has a lot more upside than LT.

In my redraft league I chose Larry Johnson, I just can't get around how much he was scoring when he played last year. Yes they lost a lineman but I just don't see that affecting him enough to drop him out of the number 1 spot.

LT... who knows what's going to happen with rivers in there. Yes he is super awesome but if rivers sucks....

LJ really only has a half season under his belt though... Who knows, it's a crapshoot.

Not only did they lose a lineman (and one of the absolute best lineman in the NFL at that), but they also lost their coach, OC, and FB. The most important being their OC, FB, and Roaf. All three of those guys were extremely important to that rushing attack and I don't see LJ as having nearly as much upside as he once did with the loss of all three of them. Look at some of the games that KC had running the football last year before LJ took over as the starter....those were games without Willie Roaf. Sure the KC RBs are good enough to still do well a good amount of games, but some of those totals were just plain awful. Losing Roaf hurts a ton.

LT was my pick. FF leagues arent won with the 1st round picks... but they sure as hell can be lost.

Take the sure thing in LT. his talent far outweighs any team issues they chargers may have.

I'd go LJ. He has to have a MASSIVE drop off from his ppg last yr to NOT be the #1fantasy RB.

Interesting note is that LT has never been the #1fantasy rb. Doubt he's ever out of the top 5 though, so he's def a safe choice.

Everybody knocks LT for the unknown play of Rivers... despite it has been demonstrated that LT produces even with poor quarterback play, word is Philip is looking sharp.

He might not be a Carson Palmer, but maybe more a Ben R... just getting it done. LT stock has got to be on the rise with all the doubters.

It's really only between SA and LT at this point - IMO.
