I have 2 close friends who have done it dozens and dozens of times...I think they're both allowed to jump alone now, I haven't talked to either about their jumps in a while. I know you have to do it a bunch of times tandem and get certified to jump alone. Anyway they were always trying to get me to jump with them, but I just don't see why a person would jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

I might try to go this year...think it would be great! I got to watch some of the Army Rangers jump out of the back of our C-141s during an airshow in Tacoma a few years back...a whole diferent perspective watching them from within the aircraft. A couple of guys had figured out how to hang in the slipstream for a few seconds before ducking their heads and falling outta sight...was amazing!

Our C-141s? You a Zoomie? Sweet - I'm a airborne soldier with USASOC. We're down at Homestead Air Reserve Base right now, but we're traditionally based out of Fort Bragg. I just completed my first water jump into the Biscayne Bay out of a C-130. Best jump ever and easy on the knees.
