DeAngelo Hall the Falcons #3 WR?!?

Should I pick him up in my IDP league? In that league, IDPs get VERY little points compared to offensive players. If I could have a defensive player catching receptions it would still count towards his point totals right?

WRs get like 3x as many points as the upper-end IDPs in this league. It is a standard Yahoo league, so the receptions and yards should still get added to his totals shouldnt they?

Or would Yahoo switch him over to the WR status? What happened in the past when a player played on both sides of the team?

(All this is assuming that he does in fact become a WR, which is unlikely of course, but possible)

I think it gets added as bonus points. As in you wont see them except for your total then there will probably be an asterik saying a certain amount of points. Like the year vinatieri threw a td pass there was an asterik in his toal points that said something like "bonus: 6 pts passing td"

Am I the only one excited about being able to possibly get receptions from an IDP? What am I missing here?

Good point, but IDPs get an average of about 3-4 points per game in my league. Thats like 2 receptions for 20 yards. Is there some reason why I should avoid picking him up? I dont have much room on my roster for taking big risks.

Definitely upgrades his value. He could easily put up 40+ additional points if he is regularly in the WR rotation. What does that equal in INTs? Figure it out...

40 points = 340 yards and 1 TD

IDP
40 points = 6+ INTs?

In the past, how has Yahoo treated players on both Defense and Offense? Is it like in basketball where they can change or add to a player's position? Will they keep him on the IDP list? Will they change his status to a WR?

Unfortunately, I don't like the idea. He is one of the top cb's in the league, you are taking a big risk even if you only put him out there one time. Iwouldn't do it.

I know that with Chris Cooly last year you could play him as a TE or RB.....maybe it will be something like that....but he will definatly still be a DB. I think?
