Goatwhacker wrote:I understand the comments about Griese playing against second stringers but the bottom line was Griese hit his open receivers and Grossman did not. Griese plain outplayed Grossman last night, it was more than just what defenses they were playing against. Grossman was not helped by the very poor first string offense blocking and running game, but he sure didn't rise to the occasion.

I'm not saying it's time to start Griese, I think Grossman should continue to start but for this one game Griese was by far the better QB.

It's early and Griese will have many chances to overtake him on the depth chart.

I'm just saying the 2007 Bears aren't the 1985 Bears. No Biggie

whoa, i was expecting him to have a broken bone or torn ligament; thats Rex Grossman looking like Rex Grossman. :-D

griese winning the job is the best thing that can happen for this chicago offense. it will likely bring them up to be an average to slightly above average offense, and with their defense, they will become a serious front runner for the super bowl.

it won't be long before grossman gets sneezed on and tears his achilles or something. personally, i hope griese gets the job. there's not a doubt in my mind that he's the best qb we have.

rex is gonna lose the job because griese burned 3rd string 49ers?

i dont think rex can lose the job in this preseason. angelo and lovie are just in love with the guy. if he stays healthy he will be the starter for the season.

now if he throws 3 pics in the first half of the opener things will get interesting..

So how many years in a row do people have to come off looking like fools thinking that preseason performance is indicative of regular season performance before they figure it out?

Weren't the Colts 0-4 last year? And weren't the Jets 1-point away from being 4-0? Shouldn't Jamal Robertson have three 2000 yard seasons under his belt by now?

Oh by the way, Obefemi Ayanbadejo just scored...go scour your waiver wire.
