I am guessing that those choosing traditional snake draft have never tried an auction. It puts everyone on a level playing field and requires much more strategy. The ones I've had the pleasure of hosting are much more intense as well.

I'm with you. Auction is a much better option. From my experience once people try auction they rarely go back to snake. For whatever reason most people who were "raised" on snake drafts are usually a little hesitant to try an auction.

For those that prefer snake I'd be interested to hear why.

Auction drafts always bore me. Snake drafts leave me with a sense of excitement at never knowing who I might get.

Definitely auction. The two aren't even close. Any team can get any player they want in an auction.
