What draft type do you prefer; Auction or traditional Snake

All ive done is traditional snake, but im starting to get really intriguted by auction drafts and id like to learn more about them.

Don't know much about them, but I'm willing to investigate.

i prefer the snake because i feel more comfortable in that format. but i'm learning a bit about auctions. i've done some mocks this summer and it's a fun way to run a draft. but i still prefer the traditional.

Auction drafts always bore me. Snake drafts leave me with a sense of excitement at never knowing who I might get.

I respect everyone's draft preference, but wouldn't you want the ability to target players rather than just wait to see who you'll get?

As far as excitement, I find waiting for up to 22 picks between my picks very boring. In an auction you can be involved every time a player is nominated.

I have taken my first foray into the auction draft format. One as a redraft and one is a keeper. It has been an interesting learning experience.

It has also helped me with my standerd type leagues. Especially with the lesser known players. When you get past the top players in each position an auction league makes you spend more time researching the backups, and rookies to see who you would like to have when it gets down to everyone having 1 or 2 bucks to spend per player left on their rosters.

You also need to go into the draft with more of a plan of action on who you like and what you are willing to spend on either particular players and/or by position.

Snake, by far. I've been in auctions in the past and it just seems that they can get out of hand. Traditional draft is just flatout more fun.

Right now I like the snake because that is where I am most comfortable, I'm liking auctions more and more, ecspecially if you're starting up a keeper league this year, then everyone has a shot at the big 3

I like snakes.

Locally we usually do a snake but only keep the same order for two rounds then redraw. So 1-2 would be snaked, 3-4 would be snaked but a different order and so on.

I didn't know there was a site with an auction focus- will you pm me about it?

I started with snakes but switched to auctions and will not go back. To me, the auction is more excited, more challenging and more fair.
