Will Alex Smith at least get the same amount of touchdowns as interceptions this year??? :-]

He looked pretty good against the Bears on Friday..

I think Alex Smith will take a step forward in his progress to become a legitimate NFL quarterback. That being said, I don't think he'll live up to his draft position.

I think when he got an unprecedented standing ovation from NFL scouts during his pre-draft workouts I decided if these guys who do this for a living thought he had that much skill, I'm willing to bet he pans out. May never be an elite QB, but I don't worry about him busting like I would with many other young QBs.

Well said. Talent at the WR and RB position will make lot's of QBs appear much better. When the talent catches up, he'll be a decent QB.

That's a tough call. Smith should make a lot of progress this season, but he will be asked to pass in a lot of desperate situations. That usually leads a QB to INTs. The 9ers are still a year away from being competitive enough to keep from putting Smith in poor passing situations.

Yeah, Smith did look good. Hopefully management wises up and hands over rushing duties to Gore, the RB of the future. Their man-crush on Barlow needs to end.

It's not like he's going to get drafted, so I don't care about him too much right now.

Antonio Bryant owners rejoice, he actually has some value now that we know Smith lives!

He will improve greatly, but I could see 13-15 TDs and 17-20 INTs this season. A mix between Favre and Brooks last year.

I say about 9 touchdowns and 24 INT's.
The facts have no meaning.
