I also try to use other methods than brushing, but there is no reason to completely get away from it, some of the best sigs around here are done brushing.

Show me some. BGs that are all brushing never look good. The proper way to use brushing is to do it sparingly, to add details and depth to the sig. Never rely on brushing.

no, no not all brushing, that just doesn't look good, you must use lighting and other effects on the render, the text, other things, I'm not saying all brush backgrounds, Im saying there is no reason to completely get away from them.

All these sigs look great! I'm wondering what software you use to make them. I used to have PSP but they didn't come out as sharp looking. Thanks for any help.

Photoshop 7.0 for me, others probably have newer versions.
