It also depends on whether or not they are an every week starter.

Postions are the key..if you have say for exp..Owens and Garcia your not going to complain and thats not a bad thing to have....then you could say for exp you have Horn and Duece on your team, now thats a bad combo..one will take from the other and hurt you more in the loing run...so I don' t think 2 is too many but 3 of any kind starting for you is trouble (baring if the combo involves IDPs with offensive players)...

it would depend on the team and position.

a few years back I would have felt fine with starting
Warner/Holt or Bruce/Faulk
manning/Edge/Harrison

these were high powered offenses that scored a lot

no teams this year strike me to want to take 3 skilled postions
WR/RB/QB

only exception might be
Maddox/Ward/Burress -- since PIT seems to be airing it out a lot and not so much a Running team (that just doesn't seem right to say that about PIT, but what ever it takes to win)

you might think about maybe a QB/WR/Kicker combo but that is putting a lot of your fantasy scoring on one game. I would rather spread it out.

so I guess after rambling I would say no more the 2 from the same team.

I don't like to start a bunch of guys from the same team, but just like bye weeks I really don't let that affect my draft/auction strategy. I subscribe to the much overused slogan "We draft the best player on the board."

One combo I love is the QB/TE combo. Unless you have Shockey or Gonzo you aren't expecting a ton from your TE anyway. However when your QB and TE hook up for a TD it's huge!

Manning/Pollard
Collins/Shockey
Plummer/Sharpe
McNair/Wycheck - well it was a great combo

I have 3 seahawks and 1 buc. all on byes this week and now I'm screwed! I can't dump KRob, Shockey, Alexander or Pittman for whats available in my league. I already have NO TE starting in week 4 and now I hear EDGE might not play.

This weeks starters are sadddddd....
Maddox and Ramsey (we start 2QB's)
Rice and Boerigter (WR's)
Edge and Bettis (RB's)
K. Campbell (WR/RB)
--empty-- (TE)
anderson (K)
KC (Def)

I'm 3-0 right now... so much for that!

SO I dunno how many 2 many is... but if you're gonna stack more than a couple players from one team...
Make sure other players don't share the same bye week
