First MNF game, are u ready for some Kornheiser?

Postby moochman » Mon Aug 14, 2006 10:59 am

Will we be seeing another Miller in the booth? Is he actually qualified or is this just some cross-promoting for espn?
I am looking forward to seeing if he knows anything about being a color man. Knowing when and when not to talk, and what to talk about.

Tirico should be solid, if not too dry to carry Kornheiser if he sucks.

Theisman will again give his opinions on how the QB is the most important position, and oh BTW did you guys know he used to be a QB. It worries me that he won't have anything new to say, and I don't know that Kornheiser will be as willing to banter about with him.

I do not have a lot of hope for this combo.

I don't know how he is going to work out but I really like Kornheiser. I always listened to his radio show and I hate that he is no longer doing it.

He is a great writer for he Washington Post so I am optomistic that he won't completely wash.

He has to be better than Dan Deirdorf. That guy almost makes watching football unbearable.

I honestly don't have a clue why they brought Theisman in....He is awful....

I think Tirico will be fine....Smooth, simplistic play-by-play....

Tony K, he just needs to relax....He's alright on PTI.....Just don't try to hard....

At least they got rid of Paul MGuire though :-P On the replays, he'd be like...."Watch this!" "Look here!" What do you think I'm doing Paul? I'm sitting in front of a 40" screen! -strains eyes- Ok, I'm trying harder, roll the replay :-[

I actually think Tony K will do a nice job. He is good on PTI ,and he's not overboard with his vocabulary, ie. Dennis Miller.

Yeah, Tony should be a good addition. I look forward to watching him on it.

I do not look forward to muting the TV when Theisman talks.

Cornheiser knows his stuff, so he's not just a color commentatory like Miller was. Personally, I find him one of the more bareable ESPN voices, so I'm looking forward to having him in the booth on MNF.

At least they didn't go the Stuart Scott route...I'll hold judgment on Kornheiser for now.

I say the only good thing about "Monday Night Football" is the football. I think I will ban all commentary and listen to the radio brodcasts for the local games here.
