Leftwich to start in week 4

News: According to SportsLine.com's Pete Prisco, Byron Leftwich will start at QB for Jacksonville in Week 4.

I read they were thinking about it, if they are thinking Houston makes for an easy week to try him out, theyre wrong, however, he will win the starting job at some point, so why not now.

I think he's worth a gamble, especially if you need help at QB. He's not Vick fast, but he is going to be a stud, and it could begin as a rookie. He has better weapons to work with than Vick or McNabb did. Not as much support as Culpepper had his starting year (2nd year).

Grab him now if you need help. I don't think he'll last long if he does explode. When Jimmy Smith gets back week 5, he could be set up well.

i'm one of those hopefuls that grabbed leftwich. i only need him for a bye week (week 10) and i hoping he is a stud. he looked good every chance he got to play, even in garbage time..its still the NFL. some players can't even look good in garbage time. and if hes a bust, i've got 6 weeks to make a decision. IMO grab him if your weak at the QB position.

felllas, the guy is a rookie and his recieving corps isnt anythign pretty. if he gets the nod as a full time starter pick him up as a back up, but there are still better options
