This is the only thing you need to tell them - if they complain, tell them TOUGH SH$@ or tell them to find a new league.

TOUGH SH$@ are two words you will find yourself using often as a commish and, believe it or not, it will solve more problems than you think and probably gain you more respect with your league members. You're the commish for a reason - make the decision that best suits the league and stick with it. ;-D

Put yourself at #1 and give the new guy your old spot.

Allright guys, thanks. I told the main guy that wanted to redo the order that the new guy would just take the first spot and he got pretty pissed. Now I have some more confidence that it is the right decision.

You did the right thing. The commish needs to rule with an iron fist anyways.

you made the right decision.

However, a cool suggestion would be to let him draw a number 1-10. What ever number he gets, that is his spot.

So if he gets 1, he is first. If he gets 8 then he is 8... and the guy who used to be in 8 gets the first pick.
