hey guys, might be wrong forum (apologize if so) but does anyone think this guy could be really good next year. with the pitt stress on the running game and no bus in his way, anyone think that parker can get to like 1200 yds with 9-10 tds? i know duce is healthy this year but i dont think hes the goal line vulture that bettis was? for a 3rd-5th round pick, i think hes great value. opinions?

I haven't seen him make it past the middle of the third round, but I think that is probably where he should be taken.

yes, not 10-12 tds, but 1200+ yards easy, i see haynes as more of the goalline vulture, and between haynes and staley, parker's td's will suffer a bit, maybe like 5 or 6.

i agree completely. i took him in the 3rd round and was very happy. i also ended up trading him in a deal where i got portis.

Maybe not 10 tds, but probably somewhere like 1200/5. Look for Ben to pass a little more in the red zone, and Duce may come in for goalline duty.

Stll a value in the 4th/5th.

maybe its because i just drafted him a few days ago to be my #2, but the more i think about it the more i love his situation. with the defense still in tact in the burgh, that team is going to be ahead in a lot of games, which means a lot of rushing yards to be made up. pittsburgh had over 20 rushing tds last year, and i gotta think that with bettis and his 9 tds no longer playing, we might see parkers numbers go from 1200 and 4 to 1200 and 8-9, with a recieving td or two.

i loved fwp last year and i love him this year.

he's a cowher style of runner. he's fast but can also but between the tackles for the hard 4 yards. and it is a rush-oriented offense. and he has been taking the goalline reps. personally, i don't see how there's two rounds of guys better than him.

Willie might be in a great situation for a #2, but you'd better have a backup plan come playoffs. Look at his last few games:

I think the Stillers would rather someone else get the goalline rushes. Be that Duce, Haynes, or a player not on the roster yet. It may be optimistic for FWP to get 10 TDs, 6-8 more likely. Lots of yards though.
