The Steelers say they won't use a short-yardage specialist this year.
Duce Staley and Verron Haynes were competing for the job, but Pittsburgh feels Haynes is more suited as a third-down back and Staley has been unimpressive in camp. Fast Willie Parker, already coming as a great RB2 value, can improve significantly in his second season as a starter. Aug. 23 - 6:57 pm et Source: ESPN.com
While in the gym today, I was watching NFL films on the Broncos and they showed last year's playoff game against the Steelers. On one of the runs that Willie busted, one of his teammates on the sideline said, "He's extra fast!" New nickname, eFWP, anyone?

No, but I would rank him this way...
1. Shaun Alexander
2. Larry Johnson
3. Ladanian Tomlinson
4. Steven Jackson
5. Rudi Johnson
6. Tiki Barber
7. Clinton Portis
8. Ronnie Brown
9. Edgerrin James
10. Cadillac Williams
11. Lamont Jordan
12. Willis McGahee
13. Willie Parker 14. Warrick Dunn
15. Brian Westbrook
IMO, the top 12 on my list are feature backs who have goalline duties with Barber being the exception. Everyone from Parker down is questionable for goalline work. Parker leads the list, IMO, because of Cowher's quote about Parker being the lead candidate to take goalline looks. Dunn is right there with him since Duckett is gone. Westbrook I would rank higher, but his lack of durability scares me.

Caddy is def a feature back. However he does not get the goaline duties and I think willie parker just vaulted himself over caddy. He's a more proven ronnie brown IMO.
