GIMP question

Does anybody know how to embed a link into an image/sig? I'm sure you guys have seen sigs on other sites where you click on the sig and it links you to a site. Can anyone tell me how this is done? Thanks for the help.

if for your website, you use the required html tags, i.e.:

<a href="http://www.tripod.com"><img src="images/apple.gif" border="0"></a>

It's not really done in GIMP. The only thing you would do for GIMP or PS would be to slice the image into smaller images which then in turn act as buttons and so on. But if you wanted to do it at the cafe here, like link your sig page to your sig, this is what it'd be:
