Brandon Jacobs?

How do the mighty intelects of the cafe regard Jacobs? Will he vulture TDs like he did last year and make a decent off week fill in? In leagues where one TD can eclipse a 100 yard game, is he a safer bet than trying to weed through the Jets/Texans(assuming no DD) backfield?

He could be this years Larry Johnson.

I'm not saying he will match Larry's numbers. But each of the past two years Larry has been that player that was drafted pretty late, and an injury turned him into a stud, pressing teams on to the championship.

Tiki is due for an injury. If Tiki gets hurt, Jacobs will help a ton of teams.

In keeper and dynasty leagues get him and stash him, he is the back of the future there.

IF Tiki goes down, I don't see BJ as the starter. He is just too raw.

It's funny...whenever he gets into the open field running the football he looks great. And he continues to look bad on the goalline, yet that's where most of his carries are.

In my opinion, Tiki is a better goalline back. Nonetheless, that's where most of Jacob's workload will be this season...goalline and short yardage situations. But like I said first, he has looked very good in the open field and could be a fine replacement if Tiki gets injured.

I have him stashed on my bench in both a dynasty and a keeper league, I hope it happens ;-D

So you guys see him as a sort of Michael Turner/Maurice Morris or in other words a quality backup in a proven running system?

No, these guys aren't as familar with the NYG running game. If Tiki went down, BJ would not be the starter. I like him, but he's not about to breakout.

BJ is not a star. He is just a big RB that will amount to only backup duties.
