I was just wondering if any of you guys knew how long Portis is out.

I know hes done at least for the preseason, but will he be ready for the opener?

Should be ready for the opener. But nobody quite knows for sure yet. What we do know is T.J Ducket is now a Redskin.

If i recall at the time of his injury they said recovery would be 4 - 6 weeks. so by the end of preseason that would be 5 weeks. start of the season around just over 6 weeks.

You are correct sir. Duckett is the goal line back only.

Gibbs is a smart coach and if he wants to stay a smart coach in my eyes then portis WILL NOT see any playing time on monday night unless in a emergency situation (betts goes down). To me it makes no sense to risk losing portis for a longer period of time when you have abackup like Betts totally capable of leading us to victory.
