Below is some information about the upcoming football tournament. You will also have the opportunity to participate in similar tournaments for baseball, hockey, and basketball. (hockey, baseball, and basketball are roto leagues)
If interested you must first join our fantasy group on yahoo. After that you will have access to the league ID and passwords in the Files section of the group homepage. To join use the following link:
Please mention that you heard about the tournament from Fantasy Football Cafe.
The Tournament will start with 113 teams.
The teams will be divided into 9 Qualifier Leagues of 13 teams each.
The two teams that play in the championship game from each league will advance to the Elimination Round.
The team with the most regular season points from each league will advance to the Elimination Round.
The team with best regular season record from each league will advance to the Elimination Round.
If this doesn't create four unique teams, the team or teams with the most regular season points will also advance.
There will also be three wild card teams that advance based on regular season points.
The 36 team Elimination Round will be played next season.
The Elimination Round will have 3 leagues of 13 teams each and will use the same system to determine which teams from each league advance.
The final 13 teams will play in one Championship League the following season to crown the overall champion!
I would also hope that the final 12 teams could stay together and form a highly active and competitive league or multi-sport league.
All remaining teams should stay active and competitive even if they are out of contention, since future league and tournament invitations will only be made to active teams.
Please note that each team will play the non-playing commish team once.

Each league will have a name consisting of a text coded ID in parenthesis.
The coded ID will start with a T or an L depending on whether the league is part of a tournament or an individual league.
The second digit of the coded ID will be a sequential number used to identify the tournament or league.
For tournaments, the 3rd digit of the coded ID will be a letter used to identify the league.
(A-S will signify a Qualifier league, T-Y will signify an Eliminator league & Z will signify a Championship league)
The Commish will have one active team in the Tournament.
The Commish will have a non-playing (np) team in each of the 9 leagues (the 13th team in the league).
The non-playing Commish teams will not compete and are just used to setup and monitor each league.
The non-playing Commish teams will draft the lowest ranked players and then bench them before the season starts.
Choose your team name carefully, as you will not be allowed to change it once the season starts.
Draft order for all leagues will be randomly set by Yahoo when the draft begins.
We will also be using a league vote to veto trades.
ELIMINATION ROUND SEEDING
The 36 teams that advance from the Qualifier Round will be placed into 3 leagues
next year using the following seeding.
(G2 represents the second place team from the T1G Qualifier league)
