who would you rather have? im thinking miller will see some more red zone ops, but watson is scary good, if he can get enough touches. a bit confused over here....
Miller will only get better and capitalize on the moderate success he had last year. With Randle-El gone in Pitt, and Ward coming off an injury rather slowly, I'd expect a, now possibly more cautious/tentative, Big Ben to find his TE more.
I think Watson is the better TE, however, he plays for NE, which means he most likely wont get the looks that he would get on most other teams. Miller could easily out score Watson each week just based off the team situations rather than skill.
Miller will benefit from the absence of Bettis this year by getting more TDs in the redzone, and he is a threat downfield as well. Watson is a good sleeper cantidate though.
Kudos to Leber for the amazing sig and to Metroid for the userbar and making them both fit 2008 and 2009 Defunct Dynasty League Champion
I foresee Miller to be a bit more consistent week to week for many of the reasons already posted whereas Watson to be more "hit-or-miss" on a weekly basis due to the more options that NE has. My vote will be for Miller.
I took Watson in the 12th round of a 12 team, 15 round draft. I had him targeted as the TE I wanted. He has a ton of talent and with Branch holding out, he is one of only a couple of receivers that Brady knows well and trusts. All that being said, I think Miller may end up with more Red Zone TD's. PIT lost Bettis, has no definitive goalline back, and doesn't have too many options down near the end zone. The reason I think Watson is a better value is that I think he'll rack up more yards and has the ability to break a big play.
