Could Gordon have a Portis-like season and become the most added player in the league?

Difference is Portis was competing for PT with Olandis Gary, not Faulk.

Having seen him play numerous times, I answer your question with a resounding NO. However, that doesn't mean he won't put up respectable numbers THIS week.

With a bye next week, and the fact that Faulk seems to be a relatively quick healer, I'd be surprised if he isn't anything more than an overpriced waiver pick up.

No, Portis was competing for a starting job, Gordon is filling in for an injured player. When Faulk comes back, Martz won't bench him.

What exactly is an "overpriced waiver wire pickup"?

I agree, it's a little premature to start planning to draft Gordon in the top 5 next year or to carve a bust for Canton, OH or anything.

But I think Gordon will win some fantasy owners some games in the next month & make a huge difference in some seasons.

And I'm going to continue to ask this question: Is anyone concerned that Faulk has 2 things to heal from? (The hand & the knee surgery.) No one seems at all concerned that he's not going to miss a beat after a knee surgery, albeit a minor one.
... in my opinion, of course - but that should always go without saying.

In one of my leagues owners submit a silent bid to the commissioner by 9 p.m. Wednesday if they want to acquire a free agent. In this league Gordon went for just over $8. This I consider to be "overpriced."

My other league uses the standard waiver list were all pickups are $1.

this thread is a joke, whoever started it is an idiot. lamar gordon is nowhere near portis' level. faulk is coming back asap and that will make gordon's value zero once again.

try to get all this in. First man that would make a league interesting have to bid on waiver players. Your commish must bust a hump to keep your league straight.

Next Sponge shut-up! I don't think you read the little write up under the type of forum this is. It is for discussions moron so let someone post what ever the hell they want to get info on a topic you think you are so wise but you act like a fool.

Last to the point now. I have MF as a keeper and Drated LG late like around 12th round I think for the security purposes. I would have never figure and still don't, that Lamar will be a bust ou this year. He is just a reliable back-up/Fb that is all for now. It might be nice but don't expect much. A better comparison might be Stacy Mack or D Rohodes.
