As ColtPower reported earlier this week, wide receiver Marc Boerigter flew to Indianapolis to explore an opportunity to join the Colts and compete for the No. 4 position on their depth chart. Today the Colts and Boerigter made the deal official, with the former Chiefs and Packers wide receiver signing a one-year, $500,000 deal according to a source close to the NFL. Boerigter joined the team for practice on Thursday.
After Boerigter was released by the Packers early this week, the Colts swooped in quickly to get discussions started about adding him to the roster. The team had expressed interest in him when he first made the leap from the Canadian Football League, but lost out on the bidding against the Chiefs.
