I thought of going after Duece cause his value is low now, but his schedule is brutal: Carolina twice and Tampa Bay twice, etc. He may have a tough time being a top ten back.

I'm beginning to think twice, unless I can get him dirt cheep!!

I hear this a lot, but don't forget that McAllister had decent outings against both teams last year.

vs Tampa Bay
there: 109 yards rushing, 12 yards receiving, 0 TD
home: 99 yards rushing, 7 yards receiving, 1 TD

vs Carolina
there: 71 yards rushing, 34 yards receiving, 2 TDs
home: 110 yards rushing, 10 yards receiving, 0 TDs

I think part of Deuce's relative success was because neither Tampa Bay nor Carolina had explosive offenses, so New Orleans was never so far behind that they had to give up on the running game. Of course, this year could be different for two particular reasons. 1, New Orleans looks much worse this year than last, and with the defense playing so poorly, there's greater risk of falling behind quickly and abandoning the run. 2, both Carolina and Tampa Bay have more effective offenses, particular in the running game with the addition of Davis for Carolina and the possible emergence of Pittman for Tampa - this strengthens their ability to burn up clock to keep Deuce off the field.

There's a guy in my league that has Horn and Deuce. I think he's scared about last week performance... so he is trying to trade his players.

He just offered me Horn and Favre for Rod Smith and Hasselbeck.

I think I'll take it....
