From tflreports.com flash updates:

PORTIS OFFICIALLY A "DREADED GAME-TIME DECISION..."
Posted Friday September 26, 2003 @ 15:50 PT

Following up on a previous Update. ... DenverBroncos.com staff writer Andrew Mason reports that Clinton Portis returned to work on the practice field Friday, but head coach Mike Shanahan is not certain whether his star tailback will be able to go on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

The second-year man reportedly limited his participation to non-contact work.

"[Portis will] be a game-time decision. ..." Shanahan said.

On a more positive note, Mike Anderson made it through Friday's practice without difficulty.

wow, this is one of those few moments where I am glad I don't have him. Game Time decisions are the worst.

Naw, I don't think we'll see him play against the Lions. Conventional wisdom says they won't need to risk it. If they were playing the Chiefs, for example, I'm sure we'd see him, but it would be silly against the Lions....especially with Harrington's finger screwed up.

I think that he will play just to get Denver the early lead, then sit the rest of the game. First quarter stats could still look good. Remember what he did against CIN in the first half?

Its the Lions, I think they'll be fine without him and he needs the rest.
