Boston...buy low?

Postby deftdelivery » Fri Sep 26, 2003 9:55 pm

Admist the pain and anguish Boston has been causing everyone this year...would it be a good idea to buy him low now?

I'm thinking of upgrading Tiki Barber for Shaun Alexander. Then Chris Chambers for David Boston. I believe Alexander will be a helpful upgrade, and worst case scenario - Boston rides the bench behind Hines Ward and Chad Johnson...any ideas?

i don't think anyone would trade you Barber for Alexander straight up, but it would definately be an upgrade. I think Chambers would be a fine #2 or 3 reciever. Boston has talent, but he isn't fitting in with the San Diego team. Every week it seems like he has some issue. I don't know if he'll come around or not, but if you're a gambler, now is the time to go after him.

mmmhmm...

I think now is the time for me to strike b/c both players involved are currently benched...

Alexander b/c of a bye
Boston b/c of poor play I guess

I think I can get him to bite ;-D

Tiki's on a bye too. Although... Tiki is tough to let go of. He not only runs, but a lot of recieving yards too. I just don't think I'd give up any chance to get Alexander though with the way the hawks are playing so far.

Boston is a downgrade from Chris Chambers. At the rate he's going Boston will be lucky to play in half the games this year, let alone do anything. Chambers is the go-to guy in Miami's offense, which from the looks of last weekend is coming together quite nicely.

Boston is turning into a new generation of Terry Glenn. Good talented receiver who may be thrown around from team to team with a lot of hype but no results. Stick with Chambers who is the number one wideout in a familiar offense that wins games.

A guy in my league traded David Bust-on for Curtis Conway.......which is terrible IMO. At least Boston has upside. Conway has Vinny Testaverde throwing to him..........yikes.

Chambers may be the number one wr in Miami, but that is not saying much. I mean, when you give the ball to 1 player 45 times in 1 game, that does not leave much for anybody else, does it? I would take my chances with Boston...
As for Alexander, get him. I would Trade, Fumblitis never get tds, Tiki Barber for Shawn, who usually get a td in every game, Alexander.

with the way Bosten is getting along with Marty.....I'd keep him as far away from my team as possable, and the numbers so far this year, ya gotta keep Chambers........and for the most part you gotta keep Tiki also......has more yards rushing and receiveing then Alexander......

yeah, Chambers hasn't had a bad game yet. As of right now his upside is higher than Boston's.
