Anyone else having trouble with wk 6 and 7 byes...

Postby frogfan » Tue Aug 29, 2006 12:12 am

seems like all of my players have their byes one of these weeks (6 teams with byes instead of 4).

I tried to draft best available, and once the middle rounds hit quit looking at bye weeks...now I am potentially screwed. Have 4 of my 5 RBs with by in wk 7, and 4 of my 6 wr with by in wk 6.

Are y'all trying to make trades now to sure up these weeks or are you going to wait until week 4 or 5 and then make your moves?

Wait and see what happens. My whole team is off week 7 in one league. I won't take it in the pooper in a trade just for one week. Wait and see how things shake out, you never know what may happen.

I generally ignore bye weeks. With the NFL condensing them, everyone is going to have problems with bye weeks this year. You should look at your opponents' rosters for those weeks and see if they are in bad shape, too. If so, just sit tight and hope you get lucky for a couple weeks, secure in the knowledge that your team will be strong for the rest of the season.

Lucky freak to have LJ and LT. Must have been a keeeeeper from llllast year. ;-D

Anyway I have no problems with byes in week 6 and 7. I lucked out. Other than having to start Brandon Lloyd for 3 straight weeks because my other WR's have back to back bye weeks. I have no worries.

I don't worry about bye weeks. I am more than happy to tank a few weeks if it means I have a great team. What counts is where you are down the stretch. I like to finish in the top four to secure a decent playoff seed and then let the studs win it for me.

No offense, but thats is what I call pi$$ poor drafting. 4/5 RB's on the same BYE?? LMAO.

I saw a similar thing in my league, we start 2 RB's, and can only have 3 total, and 2 people in my draft have 2 RB's on the same BYE.....knuckleheads!!

I took P. Manning and didn't worry about drafting a back-up until late. It came down to Frye or Favre. I noticed Charlie had a bye week 6 like Manning, so I took Favre. Anybody wanna guess when Favre's bye week is?
