Dom Davis to be cut?

Personally, I think that the team would be doing him (and themselves) a favor by putting him on IR. I don't see any benefit at all from trying to play him this season and having a repeat of last year. Just give him a year on IR and, if he really wants to get his job back next season, he'll rehab his arse off and come back healthy.

But...if DD turns out to get better say halfway through October and the Texans somehow get hit by lightning and are in contention for something, they might like to have him back too. I don't see them getting rid of him. I think that they are at a point now where he is close but probably needs more physical therapy before they will see where he's at and decide on a final prognosis.

I have DD (early draft... :~( ) and was able to get Lundy off of waivers but am nervous that he will struggle and end up in a dismal situation and have little value. I have to agree that fantasy or communicating to fantasy players are not a priority for the Texans. I would be intrigued to see an NFL team experiment w/ more disclosure of their injuries to help us though. I am not sure that all of these Shanihanigans really help an NFL team either....

I mean did he think he'd fake out the Raiders' and Chargers def coordinators and make them spend all summer watching Ron Dayne's college highlight reels? LOL...

Domanic Davis is done for 2006.

Antowain and Chris Taylor's performance in the last preseason game were the final nail in DD's coffin. Barring a miraculous overnight recovery, I don't see how Houston can keep DD on the active roster going into the season.

8 carries for 69 yds last night and smith gets cut? thats a shame. every houston rb has looked good this preseason. it seems to me like this run blocking scheme is going to produce one very good running game. if lundy holds onto the starting role, he could put up some very good #'s this season because of the new system.

Is it worth it to get both of Lundy and Morency? I still have Davis but I think that I can dump him now and don't have any other pressing needs.
