Chargers Defense.

How are you Chargers fans feeling about your defense as a whole this year. I really like them, and have been stealing them every time in all of my drafts. What do you like the best and the least?

Obviously I like the front 7 of the Chargers a lot. Williams returns at NT and he is a hog that eats up blocks. To complement him there is Olshansky and Castillo, two very tough young DE's.
The linebackers are a strong group even without veteran Steve Foley who will sit out the season. Shawne "Lights Out" Merriman is the new face of that defense and he will be dominant this year. Look for him to be among the AFC leaders in sacks this year. Edwards, Godfrey and Shaun Philips project to be in the starting lineup alongside Merriman. They will be very tough against the run all year long. I expect them to be a top 3 rush defense.

The San Diego secondary isn't nearly on the level that it needs to be to be an elite defense for fantasy purposes or otherwise. It won't be long before first round pick Cromartie is in the lineup.
