Buy low on TO?

Postby bobbing_headz » Tue Aug 29, 2006 5:51 pm

Now that TOs value seems to dropping I was thinking about trying to trade for him, maybe a #2 reciever. Seems risky to me but then again this seems like a risk worth taking. What are your thoughts on the Owens situation?

I have T.O. mainly because he fell to me and i have wayne as my number 2 wr but I think with his coach saying if you don't practice that you won't play he should be on the practice field wednesday and will hopefully play a quarter or two in the last preseason game. If that happens he has a great matchup in the first week where I hope he excels and shuts everyone up. wait to see if he practices, once he's on the practice field then trade for him
If your parents weren't able to have children... chances are neither will you.

Save yourself the headache. See if the CJ owner is panicky, or maybe the Holt owner is not too confident.

I don't buy for one second that TO has been as injured as he claims. Even before the trouble started in Philly he always claimed hammy injuries to get out of practice, but was in perfect health come game time. I don't buy anything he says about things being great with Parcells either. Last year, he was on TV saying "I love Donovan" right after his comments about if Favre were in charge of Philly.

I took him last night.. After he tears it up in the first couple of games, I'll trade his ass away.. But I did get a deal for him.

Just heard he practiced today. AMAZING. Anyone who spends a draft pick on TO won't sell him easy.

If you drafted recently, then the owner drafted him right when he was at his worst. He won't come that easy. If you drafted earlier, you might be able to snag him for less.
ADMIN edit: please note that the overall sig limit is 12k - thanks!

I don't see what the CJ owner being panicky or Hold owner being unconfident would have to do with buying TO low, nor do I see why the CJ owner would be panicky in the first place... are you saying that "I'd rather see if the CJ owner has flaws in his team for which I can sell him a player for CJ (etc)" or can you clarify?

But yeah, I supposed if you CAN get TO cheap, you have some obligation to take a flier on him if you can stomach it. And obviously he becomes a player worth watching for those who haven't yet drafted. TO as a #2 receiver on your team could easily end up having #1 numbers for the year.
