Who is going to be the man this year in Chicagos backfield. T.Jones is a vet that is liked by the staff/players and a 1300 yd season under his belt. benson was the #4 pick in the draft with a fat contract and a lot of "potential."

All that said, who is the man this year in Chicago?

It looks like TJ is going to be the starter for week one. Judging by his preseason performance though i dont think he will be able to keep Benson at bay. It seems like theres going to be an RBBC in Chytown this year.

Benson is going to sign with a nice team/be traded inevitably and have a wildly successful career with his new team, despite some type of career-threatening problem.

Benson is not the one that is going to be traded next year. If he shows sparks of greatness TJ is gone.

i have benson right now and while he is definitely not sexy trade bait right now, i really think he will be the full time starter before week 8.

People said that all last year too, though. And he was never the guy.

I do think he'll end up starting sooner or later this year, though, because TJ staying more or less healthy all year last year is the exception, and not the norm. I like TJ, and I hope he DOES stay healthy, as a football fan. I don't like Benson, but I have him on my team (14th round!) as a fantasy football fan.

Benson does not play unless TJ gets hurt. Everyone is blowing the whole preseason play thing out of proportion. Come on, it was his first action! Cut the guy some slack! Look at Edge, Mike Bell. It's preseason folks. Wait until TJ tears up GB to the tune of 120 and a TD and see how happy you are hanging on the Cedric the Entertainer making jokes to the waterboy.
