Agreed. I think this points to the team's confidence in his abilities, which can only be a good thing for FWP hopefuls. I'd be happy to have him as my #2 back this year.

I saw a interview w/FWillie on ESPN last week or so where they asked him if he learened anything from last year and he said that the Bus taught him to slow it down a little and wait for his blockers. He said that at the beginning of last year when Big Ben would hand off the ball to him he would just run as fast as he possably could. Thats has to mean even better production from him this year!

Sure an extension is a show of faith in him but isn't anyone worried about his motivation now?

Between a Super Bowl victory, a huge contract & Big Ben's suspect preseason couldn't he be in for a let down this season?
