Ron Dayne being shopped around

Rotoworld

NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports that Ron Dayne is being shopped around the league.
Miami and Houston appear to be two teams who could be interested.

So, anyone have any early speculation on where dayne ends up? if anywhere?

Would think that Jacksonville might have some interest with greg jones down for the year.

As a guy who jumped on the wali lundy train, i hope he doesnt end up in houston.

JAX has a ton of RB's, but they could probably use a fatty like Dayne for potential goal-line carries (not that they ever get that many anyway)

Miami probably needs a better backup than Sammy Morris too (if that's even who it still is)

Dayne to HOU would be a great consolation deal for dynasty owners who wasted a mid round pick on him this summer. Dayne has to be better than Antowain Smith - maybe Kubiak liked him more than Shanny (would explain a lot actually).

Dayne has turf toe - an injury that pretty much renders a RB worthless until it's healed. It bothered Chris Brown all year 2 years ago.

Haha... Lundy and Morency are both much more talented than Dayne...

Ummm... duh? My opinion is that - with DD out - Lundy will get 15 carries a game and Smith will get 8-10 carries a game. With Morency coming in only if Lundy is ineffective or tired. If Dayne comes to HOU, I think he pushes Smith off the roster and gets those "change of pace" carries that Smith would get otherwise. I think this gives Dayne more value than he has in Denver because he's basically on the practice squad now given how Cobbs showed up in preseason. He still wouldn't be worth the 8th round pick but he'd be worth a 13th or 14th round pick similar to Jacobs in NY. Since Morency is injury prone and Lundy is a rook, he'd have a smalll amount of upside as the season progressed.
