TE, K, D from same team?

Postby bdt13 » Thu Aug 31, 2006 10:42 am

I've put in for the Ravens defense on waivers and if I get them I'll have three starters from Baltimore:

Heap, Stover, Balt D

I've always gone by the rule not to have too many players from the same team on my fantasy squad, but that's always applied to QBs RBs WRs.

Would you apply the same caution to a TE, K, D from the same team?

Interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

I wouldnt want to do that, b/c you will have to have 3 backups for their bye week.

I try and get different bye weeks for those 3 positions, and then have one backup D that I rotate, and drop if i need a K or TE for my starters bye.

Somehow my draft came out like this:

Starters:
QB: Mcnabb - PHI
RB: Westbrook - PHI
K: Akers - PHI

Bye Week WR Filler:
Stallworth - PHI

Not too bad, but imagine if Philly gets shutout on one of my WR byes weeks O:-)

I can see your point about the bye weeks.

However, BALT is not on a bye week til 7 which would give me plenty of time to figure out the bye week situation.

Do you foresee an issue otherwise? QB-RB-WR from same team = your fantasy team loses if that team has a bad game. Would you think the same would be a concern with a TE-K-D from the same team?

i dont see this having any kind of negative effect on your team. yea you will be missing a few guys in the bye week, but its the 3 postiions that have the least impact so i wouldnt be worried.

There should be no problem there. The positions hardly interact, the way they do with QB and WR.

I don't have that much of a problem with this scenerio. Now QB/RB/WR, that can be a problem
