Has HAMBRICK ever had a solid fantasy outing?

Postby Challie » Sat Sep 27, 2003 2:10 pm

I was thinking of this in a Hambrick vs. Gordon post.

I know he was dealing with Emmitt in front of him, but I was just wondering for the record. Has Hambrick every had a good fantasy week - where he was the starter going into the game? (I refuse to acknowledge a possible mop-up blowout performance where no one ever would have been starting him.)

This is just a point of compairison to Lamar Gordon: 2 lifetime fantasy-likely starts so far, 2 great fantasy performances.

Just curious.

Leads to another, probably more imporant, question: Does anybody have a nice website for game-by-game individual results for pre 2003 seasons?
... in my opinion, of course - but that should always go without saying.

I don't think you can fairly ask that. Hambrick has been the starter a whole 3 games. This year. Emmit was the starter every other year he was there. But I do think Hambrick is a better back. But, I may be biased since I am starting him this week.

I haven't found a site that gives game-by-game stats for years in the past, if I find one, I will let you know.

Sorry, I just realized when you said "the starter" you ment in Fantasy. I thought you ment, like in Dallas. Like in the NFL.

Hey, http://www.NFL.com does it. You have to go to the players page, and then click on the player you want to look at, and then click on "game logs" and then click on the year you want.

I am about to look and see if espn.com does it too.

MZimm, thanks for the link. That's a nice resource for all of us like me who seem to enjoy overthinking.

As for Hambrick, I actually am somewhat of a believer in him. But this question was a response to people acting like Gordon was unproven yet Hambrick more of a sure thing.

Right now I'd rather have either than A.Thomas, C.Martin etc.

I started Hambrick over W. Green....127 yds and a TD later and I'm glad the coin I flipped came up heads! LOL!!!
That's my two cents and it's worth every penny of it!

Insert "I think Hambrick had a solid game back on Sep 28, 2003" joke here...

My start of Hambrick this week was a double-edged sword...

1 - It was a beautiful start on my part, benching Barlow
2 - I had to cut TJ Duckett to pick up Hambrick...thought Barlow was better...now Duckett's starting...DOH
