Do you think chad jacksons value has gone up much with the move of branch to jets. also why havent i seen any chad jackson in preaseason?

Look at the record on rookie wide receivers, too.

Adjustment time for WR is normally such that it'll be 2nd year, minimum, before they really contribute.

That being said, his value IS up...up from being virtually nothing to being a watched player (i.e. don't draft, but he'd be worth keeping an eye on).

Chad Jackson is the only rookie WR I would take in a redraft. He may be in a unique situation to become an impact rookie WR..

Still wouldn't take him until one of the very last rounds though.

The Patriots have rejected trade proposals from both the Seahawks and the Jets for disgruntled wide receiver Deion Branch, according to ESPN. Those two teams had reached similar contract agreements with Branch worth $39 million over six-years, with $13 million of guaranteed money involved. The Patriots reportedly were asking for at least one and possibly two first-round picks for the hold out MVP of Super Bowl XXIX.

It appears Branch will be either a Patriot or a couch potato in 2006. It is unlikely the club will move him now that their self-imposed deadline of 4 p.m. Friday has passed. Branch has vowed that he will sit out until week 10 without a new contract, which would likely render him useless to the fantasy football world. We still wouldn't be surprised to see him on the field before that however, and you shouldn't dump him until after the season begins at the earliest.

In addition to the hammy issue, he's apparently also struggled learning the playbook.

I still took a flyer on him in a deep league, and will stash him for a couple weeks until I see a better option or need a bye week sub.
