Per Rotowire:

Sep 2 Davis (knee) is expected to be placed on the injured reserve list Saturday, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Recommendation: If you've drafted Davis in a league, hopefully you've prepared for this and have a plan in place. Without Davis, the Texans will go with second-year pro Vernand Morency and rookies Wali Lundy and Chris Taylor. Lundy will likely start the opener next week against the Eagles, but he and Morency will share the running duties.

i wouldnt wait, get Lundy now, been rumors of this for a week or 2, you might miss out

glad my league drafted later this year, usually draft early, this is why ya cant

Agreed, you can't mess around with losing one of your probable top 2 picks. Get Lundy now.

i actually got davis in the 5th, knowing he was hurt, but didnt know just how bad at the time

Gary Kubiak announced Saturday that running back Domanick Davis has been placed on injured reserve, causing the Texans' returning rushing leader to miss the entire 2006 season.
