Top Defenses for week one???

Postby ateam » Mon Sep 04, 2006 10:33 pm

Where's the thread??

Sorry that I don't recall the poster, but it was a helpful thread each week with his "patented" formula for listing top defenses each week.

Your public is clamoring for the '06 revival! :-D

Plindsey88 usually posts his first defense ranking around week 4. It is the shizzle. ;-D

I'm liking Philly against Houston week 1.

I like Washington, at home, Monday night, against the Vikes. Brad Johnson should be good for 3 picks and a fumble.

With Big Ben out, Miami v. Pitt should be solid to start the season.

Seattle against the Lions could be good. The Lions look really shakey right now and the C Hacks D was improving as the season went on last year. They could pick right up where they left off and crush the Lions.

Miami agaisnt Pittsburgh could be a good one too. They could put ten in the box and shut down FWP, then force Charlie into a Batch of turnovers. Good team, Stillers, so no lock.

Week one is very hard to predict, so go for the surest thing and cross your fingers.

Although I love the hawks defense this year, i would avoid starting them if you have other options against the lions this week. The lions are at home in a dome and they are going to air it out. The hawks secondary has not looked very good this preseason. The loss of Mike Green at Safety just widens the hole that is emerging in the secondary. Although the linebacking choir and the front line are looking awesome, and I wouldn't wanna start Kjones this week against them, I think the hawks could give up some points in the air.

Ayuh.
Hines with a bum hammy; Bus in the studio; Batch under center. May be the best time this season to challenge the Pitt 'O'.

Yeah. I am starting Gore vs. Zona over KJ vs the hawks. SEA only gave up 5 rushing TDs all season last year. Zona gave up 22.
