Antonio Bryant...

Bryant was proposed in a trade to me, and in trying to really look into him this year I haven't found much discussion. So the obvious question is do you think he improves upon last years numbers? I know his supporting cast is horrible...

He was top 25 last year, he will be top 25 this year. Really undervalued in casual leagues due to Smith's ineptness so if you can get him cheap, definitely do it. Smith will target him much more than VD or any other 9er (although he might target the other jerseys just as much as Bryant). In PPR leagues he will be a great #2. In other leagues, he will be a low #2/high #3.

Lol, I'd ignore that. Bryant should do well this year, think Lloyd's numbers last year but slightly better.

I love bryant's sleeper potential this year. I agree that if you can get him cheap, hes a great bargain

I drafted him also and everyone laughed @ me. I heard he hooked up with Smith when he first got to SF and they worked out all summer. I don't think he'll be a #1 or 2 but a very good #3 IMO. If he offers something decent I'd do it.

I grabbed him in both my drafts. I thought he was a good mid-round value. He's WR1 on SF so I expect him to get a load of looks, especially while trailing in the 4th quarter. I'll predict a solid 1000Yds/6TDs from him this year. I'll be overly elated if he surpasses that.

Bryant and Smith spent the whole offseason working together, on timing, building chemistry. and the first preseason game gave you a glimpse of what to expect. Alex Smith is locked on Bryant, which is bad for the Niners but good for Bryant owners.

Bobby put it best. Alex Smith is in love with Bryant, and they have developed tremendous chemistry in the preseason- to the benefit of Bryant, but to the detriment of Vernon Davis, Eric Johnson, and Arnaz Battle who have not seen many balls thrown their way.

I look for Bryant to have similar yards, maybe 1,100- with about 6-7 TDs and about 75 catches.

However, it all depends on Alex Smith. The offensive line, RBs, and receivers are good enough that the Niners could actually have an above average offense if Smith plays well. However, Smith clearly has a lot of work to do. But, in the outside chance that Smith breaks out, he could make Antonio Bryant into essentially a Plaxico Burress last year- a guy that people didn't expect to do as well because of his young QB.

plaxico is a great player bryant is not
