With the departure of Tony Richardson who blocked for LJ last year, does anyone know if KC is still going to be using a fullback or if he's just going to rely on the o-line? On the yahoo depth chart, its some guy named Ronnie Cruz
Ya Ronnie Cruz is the fullback. Don't think he's half bad either, Richardson was overrated in my books anyways. KC does pretty well out of the singleback so they should run that a lot but they will still use Cruz.
Ronnie Cruz will man that position, and Quentin Griffin may play there some as well. Expect KC to use a FB about the same as they did last year, both in terms of scheme and quantity of time on the field.
There will be a drop off in FB blocking with Richardson departing.

no way Q plays FB. not in the traditional blocking sense. he might see time in a two back backfield, but not as a blocking back.

Tough for Q-tip to do either if he was cut as per Lung's post on Sunday:
Griffin was cut. They'll use Cruz in traditional sets, some 2 TE with Gonzalez and Dunn (who is practically a OT), and some 2 TE with Gonzalez and former 2nd round pick K. Wilson as a combination TE/FB.
