Sorry guys, Cameron asked me to spend the weekend with her on Catalina Island last weekend, and one thing led to another and before you knew it, we were there the entire week. So I've been away from the cafe for a while.

Anyway . .

Tom Dempsey, after kicking his NFL record 63 yard field goal on Sunday, Nov. 8, 1970, was quoted as saying "I know one thing, if you're gonna set a record, set it in New Orleans, Man, we partied till 7 the next morning".

Dempsey had asked his holder to spot the ball an entire foot farther back from the line of scrimmage than normal just prior to booting it.
