If you're getting Clinton Portis, AWESOME

If you're getting Gore and Brown, AWFUL

Portis is still a top 10 back, and there's still a lot of question marks around Gore and Brown still.

That deal would be an absoloute steal for you if you can get it, which I doubt very much.

Ok, forget Reggie Brown. He's a non-factor in this deal.

What question marks around Gore? He's the clear starting back for SF and will likely get most of the carries (80%+). Glen Coffee isn't a threat to steal any serious minutes. I love that name, btw. :-)

Again how is it an absolute steal? Of the two I'd take Gore over Portis but it's fairly close. They're both in good RB situations, but Gore is younger and can both run and catch out of the backfield.
SF will probably be playing from behind a bit more than Washington, but who knows how the QB situation will play out. They may have to rely on the run more, especially in the first half of games.

Portis is more active in the passing game, and teams are more likely to load the box against SF imo because shaun hill is less (albeit not much less) of a threat to go down the field than campbell. Plus, santana moss and chris cooley are proven offensive weapons that defenses have to account for, what do the 9ers have in terms of talent on the outside? Crabtree is going to be a stud, but probably not for a year or even two.

That is hilarious!! How does a question from '06 get back on top of the forum page?

I was thinking to myself what is this guy talking about. Gore is ahead of Portis in most rankings right now as it is.
