Drew Bennett's First Two Games

Postby Tiki Fan » Mon Sep 29, 2003 11:37 am

I was wondering if anyone knows why Drew Bennett missed the first two games of the Titans season? Does he have some recurring injury I should be concerned about (since he was also listed as questionable before playing yesterday).

I was planning to drop Wayne Chrebet to pick him up, and just wanted to make sure he was a safe pickup. Thanks!

He's been banged up all year but that hasn't stopped him from producing. I think he has way more upside than Chrebet and would do that in a heartbeat.

I also have a bias against Wayne. Never owned him, never will. Being tough as nails has never equaled fantasy points.

Would you rather have Bennett or McCareins? Both had been playing well.

McCareins is clearly the more gifted athlete. I don't believe Bennet has the speed to do well.

OK, I guess I am the source of Titan info. Bennett really has not
been hurt, the first 2 games, he played, but just didn't get any
balls thrown his way. The last 2 games they have double and
triple teamed Mason and Drew and Justin got their chances.
If I had to choose between the 2(and I did), I would go with
Drew, he's an ex QB who seens to be in the right place for clutch
catches. Justin is much faster, and more of a big play receiver.
However, he has had some significant injuries in his first 2 years.
Bennett is the safer pick.

hate to crash the party - but i like drew. let me ask you if it would be smart to drop one of these guys for drew:

a) k mccardell
b) kelly campbell
c) eric parker

and in what order?

thanks!!!

I think Drew is better than McCareins.... can't really give too much analysis other than I've watched them both and was more impressed with Bennett.

And of those 3, I'd drop any of them for Drew Bennett, especially Campbell or McCardell.

Mccareins has had more balls thrown his way and has better stats. Not sure how you can argue with that.

The 1 TD bennet caught yesterday was a lucky grab. He hadn't even beaten the coverage, simply jumped (ill-timed mind you) and grabbed it as the coverage tried to while off-balance. McCareins flat out BEAT his coverage for the TD. Just a bigger playmaker.
