The Culpepper TD/INT Ratio.....

Postby Kilroy » Thu Sep 07, 2006 11:00 pm

I'll admit he looked OK until he threw 2 picks in a row tonight but going back to last year his TD/INT ratio is just horrible. Just one game or a sign of big trouble for C-Pep owners?

I would definately say it was just the game at this point. He was looking solid up until the end against one of the best defenses in the league. Plus, at the end, Pitt knew he was going to pass the ball so they just had to sit back and read his eyes. I actually think he might be suprising buy-low right now. At least his knee looked to be healthy ;-D

If I owned him I would give him the benefit of the doubt and wait for another game or two before throwing in the towel, but maybe im an optimist.

It was Pittsburgh. The pass blocking looked very good, it's just when they had to pass at the end, he forced it. I would probably bench him against NE, but otherwise he is probably still a good start. He hasn't played in a while, so he'll probably look more and more comfortable as the year goes on.

There were a couple of bad passes and the first INT was bad but all in all I thought it was a solid outing from him and I like Miami to move the ball well this season.

Ain't that the truth.

In one league I'm kinda stuck with Jake Plummer as my starter. There are certainly worse situations to be in, but I suspect Culpepper's owner is a bit impatient (judging from all of his roster moves already). If Plummer has a good week against St. Louis, which I think is probably pretty likely, I may approach him with a package for C-Pepp.

Or not... we'll see.

You guys remember that board game, where you push down on the bubble in the middle of the board and a dice rolls inside of it and that's how many spaces you moved?
