Yeah, the TDs would have been icing on the cake but he put in a pretty good performance for a number 2 back. I got about 14 points out of him. About 110-120 will secure a victory in our league so I am pleasantly pleased with his performance.

Willie ran well, hopefully he has a big year.
That play when Miller scored should have been reveiwed, that would have given him the opportunity to score.
Mm, I think we're seeing the beginning of a trend here. FWP is great at racking up yards but he's just not considered a true red-zone threat by the Steelers. Since he'll get some goal-line touches, I see his TDs jumping realistically to 8 (and perhaps as high as 12). But I also could see them trying to trade for a bruiser in mid-season to get a player more their style.

NO WAY!!! EVeryone keeps saying FW isn't up to the pounding he'll take as an every down back. I think he showed he can handle the punishment last night. 29 carries 115 yards on the ground. He would have had a TD if Batch wouldn't have muffed the snap.

Not true, Haynes was in on that play, not FWP.
I think it was more because Parker just needed a breather, not necessarily because Haynes is their goal line guy. Remember, Haynes is not a big back himself, he's a pass catching back, hence being a 3rd down back.
I agree with the breather. I believe he ran the previous two plays and the one prior to the fumble was an 8 yard run where he bounced around a little on the way to the ground. I don't think we can judge Cowher's plans one one game.
