Well, his real point of the first post was to make a funny, but the analogy is in the regular text.

them texas boys got some head problems after playoff meltdowns.

both lidge & vanderjagt had great regular seasons last year. choked in the playoffs. and then came back this regular season (well, preseason so far for vanderjagt) without the same high level of play. the consensus opinion over in the baseball cafe is that having gotten rocked in the world series, lidge just had his confidence blown and is now unable to be an effective ice-man closer.
