I can't understand all those baseball analogies because I don't know a thing about baseball.

Haven't watched a game since the Expos moved to Washington, and event then, I was far from being a fan.

Baseball's too boring for me to care. :-/

So next time you guys make baseball analogies, please explain them, or at leat give us some clues...

Well, his real point of the first post was to make a funny, but the analogy is in the regular text.

The Miner Part 2 wrote:them texas boys got some head problems after playoff meltdowns.

both lidge & vanderjagt had great regular seasons last year. choked in the playoffs. and then came back this regular season (well, preseason so far for vanderjagt) without the same high level of play. the consensus opinion over in the baseball cafe is that having gotten rocked in the world series, lidge just had his confidence blown and is now unable to be an effective ice-man closer.

Go baseball analogies!

And I'd say Vandy always had no guts, Lidge just got his pulled out by a man by the name of Albert Pujols.

Heh. I was skimming this and first read it as, "Lidge got his manhood pulled out by someone the name of Albert Pujols" which is another way to look at it.
