Best and Weakest Cornerbacks

Postby saundman2000 » Fri Sep 08, 2006 4:17 pm

When Deciding who to start at WR week to week, we usually depend on looking at the overall defense they will be facing or that defense's total pass yards given up.

If we look at it from a more granular perspective, we can check who that WR will be facing off against 1 on 1: The DB who will be guarding him all game.

In other words, if Chad Johnson is facing off against Deangelo Hall of the Falcons, he may be in for a challenge. On the other hand, if he's accross the line from some rookie he may be able to make him his bitch for the whole game.

I am interested in gettting a list of the BEST #1 DBs in the league and the WORST #1 DBs in the league. If I can get info on #2 DBs and how they rate, that's great too.

Can you guys name off some of the best and worst? or if such a ranking list exists, point me to it?
RIDERS OF THE STORM
QB Vick
RB Adrian Peterson, Matt Forte, Lesean McCoy
WR Brandon Marshall, Kenny Britt

DEF Flavor of the Week

Ronde Barber
DeAngelo Hall

That list is not what the op is looking for. He wants cb's that stymie their opponents wide receivers, not then ones that will score you the most points in an IDP league.

Chad Johnson is a poor example to use though, because according to his 2005 check-off sheet, no one was able to stop #85 :-D
Respect Stevie McNair. Bow down to the pouch.

Can you really put Smoot on the list?? SSmith ran a clinic on him last year, and beat him on nearly every play that was run for him. That game exposed his weakness BIG.
