What is that thing on Solider Field? Are the Bears and Pacers being abducted right now? Hideous! 600 Million and that is what they came up with. Please tell me it is not Domed.

It is not domed. That was a source of huge controversy as back in 1995, the then-Gov. of Illinois wanted a dome but the viceroy of Chicago, Richie Daley did not. Gov. said Chicago could get a Super Bowl with the dome, but Daley won out.

As far as the space ship thing, as someone living in Illinois, that's old. The stadium is actually very nice. At least they tried to keep part of the traditional stadium and preserve the history (with the collonades) rather than bull dozing the history like many other cities have done.

I love the columns! Just wished they could have found a way to tie that in better then just building a new stadium inside an old building. I am glad it is not domed though. Good for the Bears for sticking with tradition. Cold, Muddy, Snowy, Icey Smash mouth football.

I like the stadium, glad they kept the columns, but I think they should have put a lid on it...no not the football team, the stadium.
