Week 1 GC: SD @ OAK

All I have to say is that it's nice to finally silence all those annoying Raider fans around here in SD. Now if the Padres could just wup on the Dodgers.....but I digress.

Great game overall, but I'd still like to see better play-calling and execution on the offensive side of the ball, especially earlier in the game. Some of those plays made the OAK defense actually look decent. Time will tell, but with DEN struggling and KC losing it's QB, SD's chances in the AFC West are looking up. Overall, it's nice to finally have a win on MNF!

Well after having to sweat out the 49ers/Cards game as well as the Colts-Giants game (which I needed the Cards and Colts to win by at least 4) it was good to have the Chargers do what they did last night and secure my 5 for 5 week. I will say though I didn't think Oakland would be as bad as they were. Heck a public school team could have beat them last night. Maybe I will give Art Shell half my winnings to use on books for the team called, "Football for Dummies".
