Never thought I would be saying this . . .

But wow. The Rams played some serious defense. Carried the team the whole game. I never thought they would have come up with 4 picks. I have to give Linehan and Haslett a lot of credit for instilling a sense of urgency and discipline into this defense. I thought for sure that we were hosed with the DEN rushing attack + Smith and Walker vs. a secondary that was second to worst in the league last year in TDs allowed.

On the other side of the coin, the offense couldn't get a thing going. Bulger and his WRs seemed out of rhythm. Hopefully they can get it together and start putting it in the endzone.

Yes, I am getting ahead of myself, but if you look at their upcoming schedule, and figure they can take one from SEA (who didn't look great vs. DET) I think they have a shot at going 9-7.

Anyhow, seeing defense like that is heartening, because I thought that would be the toughest thing to accomplish. on Offense, we know they have the weapons to succeed.

as I said in an earlier post, if everything comes together the way I think it will the rams have a shot at 10-6 in my mind, and yes our defense was suffocating, I was extremely pleasently surprised. ;-D

Saw this post from last year . . . .

now I have to shake my head.

Hopefully Haslett can turn this boat around. I don't want to be like the Lions.
