Jacksonville: Who's the #1 Receiver?

It looks like Reggie Williams outplayed Matt Jones.
Jones is listed ahead of Williams on depth charts (1) that i've seen.

They are both first round picks with Williams, (9th overall) looking to be slightly more talented.

Any predictions on who will have the better season?

i said it in a thread previously that to this point in his career i've never heard anything positive from coaches or people around the team about reggie williams outside of physical traits. unless getting demoted in the off-season (again) really lights a fire under him and/or there is an injury to jones or wilford, i think he's a safe bet for the 3rd best WR stats on that team when it's all said and done

I really don't think that Reggie Williams outplayed Jones today besides the TD. Williams pretty much threw the CB off of him and made the catch. I still think Jones has a better season than Williams. One game really doesn't change my opinion all that much.

yeah i also read a game recap that said his TD was a offensive pass interference that didn't get called

Jones looked good from what I saw...but that's just because his physicality and size was helpful in making the catches he did. In one drive I think he had pretty much all his catches for the day.

I don't think Leftwich is really zeroing in on anyone, so it's just whoever gets open on what day. It might be a Tom Brady type situation in Jacksonville. I'd probably rather have Jones just because of the physical attributes he has.

In 2004 drafted WR in order: Larry Fitzgerald, Roy Williams, then Reggie Williams..

I'm not talking about depth charts today, but predictions.. what fact do you have that Ernest Wilford will have a better season than Reggie Williams??

I'm just going on talent, and that is usually takes (3) years for a WR to peak.

Does anyone know what kind of pre-season Williams had?

Williams is Leftwich's go-to. He got the red-zone look, 6 catches, and few yards (43). At worst he's a go-to posession guy with big red-zone upside. I've added him in a ocuple leagues because I believe this is the year they stop overlooking him.

Depth chart:
1) Williams
2) Wilford
3) Jones - too young for them to start him, I think.

this Jax WR situation is a mess... Hope Wilford can come out ahead since targeted him low in a few leagues.
